Hortense Harang is the co-founder and president of WeTradeLocal & Fleurs d’Ici.
Hortense graduated from Sciences Po Paris in international relations and started her career as an international reporter for BBC World. During this period, Hortense was in charge of managing large teams of reporters on the ground and in house, taking financial as well as editorial responsibility. In 2008, she joined Havas Worldwide and started advising large businesses and institutions on their digital and PR strategies, before becoming head of communications for the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE).
In 2017, Hortense got involved in an incubation programme dedicated to women social entrepreneurs. She was joined by Chloé Rossignol, who brought her mass retailing and financial expertise to WeTradeLocal. In 2020, Hortense won the Social Entrepreneur prize of the Boston Consulting Group. She was also awarded the Order of Merit by the French Minister of Ecology Nicolas Hulot in 2018.
In addition to her role in the development of WeTradeLocal & Fleurs d’Ici, Hortense is a board member of Impact France, the main French lobby organization for social businesses.
