Biography

Doreen Asumang-Yeboah is a Natural resource governance practitioner and a Development Change Facilitator with Natural Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management and Masters in Development Policy and Planning both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana. Doreen has over a decade, been involved in managing and implementing Development Partner and Government of Ghana Projects with wide scopes and varied stakeholders. Doreen is a leading voice in Ghana on Natural resource policy reforms that allow communities sustainable access, management, and benefit from agriculture and natural resources. As an advocate for gender and social inclusion, community development, biodiversity conservation and food security processes; Doreen works with farmers, local communities, traditional leadership, government, CSOs and private sector to ensure that no one is left out in the development process. She has over 15 years experience and work different organizations, on full time and consultancy basis (including Tropenbos, ClientEarth, European Forest Institute (EFI), CARE, National Forestry Forum-Ghana, Working Group on Forest Certification, WWF, and FoE-Ghana. Doreen is co-founder of Rights and Advocacy Initiatives Network (RAIN), a local NGO that seeks to promote inclusiveness in the sustainable management of Ghana’s natural resources to enhance the wellbeing of people that depend on them.
