Biography

Daniel Caverzaschi (Madrid, 1993) is a professional wheelchair tennis player. Having participated in the Paralympic Games of London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 (he had obtained three Olympic diplomas -two of them in Tokyo 2020-), he has been number one in the national rankings for five years and is currently number 11 in the world rankings. As an Economics graduate from the prestigious University of Warwick (England) with a First Class Honours Degree, he was able to combine his studies and personal development on the academic side with languages. Thus, he is bilingual in English and Spanish, and has a solid level in French (spoken and written) and Italian (spoken). His dream is to reach the top in wheelchair tennis, and for this he works without rest and with grit and determination. However, these are not his only goals. He has set himself the challenge of eliminating the stereotype of disability and human capabilities, using his amusing hashtag #ValeLaPierna (literal translation to English: #WorthTheLeg) to normalise this issue with humour. Business-minded, curious, restless and passionate, by finding positive synergies between himself and his environment he also seeks to redefine the paradigm of sport, education, disability and business, doing his part to change the world.
